个人简介

农学博士,研究员,博士生导师,入选广东省青年拔尖人才项目美国康奈尔大学(Cornell University)客座副教授(2017-2018年)。主要从事植物基因工程技术系统(多基因叠加系统基因组编辑CRISPR/Cas9系统和基因工程共性技术)的开发及其植物代谢工程与合成生物学应用(水稻、园艺作物的类黄酮、花青素、类胡萝卜素生物合成与代谢调控;水稻营养物质强化的多基因代谢工程应用)。开发了新型多基因叠加系统TGSII, 广靶向的高效碱基编辑系统PhieCBEsPhieABEs 培育出全球首个胚乳富含花青素的“紫晶米”和首个胚乳合成虾青素的“赤晶米”。 作为第一导师指导学生获得2016 iGEM(国际基因工程机器)大赛全球金奖与4个单项奖(包括全球总成绩第三“Second Runner-Up”,以及首个最佳植物合成生物学奖“Best Plant Synthetic Biology”等单项奖)。


主要研究领域

1. 植物基因工程技术系统的研究

利用多种技术方法,进行DNA大片段、多基因的分子组装与转化系统的研究,以期能最终实现DNA分子的按需组装;开发元件化、标准化的植物合成生物学组装系统;开发基于CRISPR/Cas的多重基因组编辑与单碱基编辑系统、定点插入系统等,以期实现体内的定点修饰与编辑。

2. 植物代谢工程与合成生物学

利用开发的基因工程工具,在模式植物与作物中(水稻、番茄等),开展重要植物营养素、次生代谢产物(类黄酮、类胡萝卜素、甜菜红素以及重要经济价值的萜类药用化合物)的代谢调控与合成生物学应用研究。

3. 作物营养强化与功能营养型新种质创制

利用开发的多基因叠加系统与基因编辑系统等工具,在作物中(水稻等)对重要营养物质进行合成代谢工程操作,产生具有一种或多种重要植物营养元素或重要保健功能的生物活性物质,创制作物种质新资源。
